Brian – vocal. Gary – bass. Dan - feedback. Ant - percussion.
A song inspired by the frustration of being in a band that had released two fine LPs ,that had sold bugger all and the problems that arise dealing with the music industry and all its evil ways. This subject has reappeared many times over the years on Bordellos LPs . this was the first...each night i dream of rats of record contracts.
Sounds like Daniel Johnston off his nut on special brew with a portion of chips and gravy. Proper good stuff; angry and funny. Love the lo-fi (or no-fi) aesthetic and fuck off attitude. boycalledcrow
Such a Bordellos record is this. Typically eccentric and recorded and played to their own unique specifications. But, as usual, amongst it the melodies are pretty much all a joy to behold. In a couple of numbers I'm reminded of the quaint off-kilter songs Lou Reed used to write for Mo Tucker to sing in the Velvets. Gavin Hellyer
Recorded on an iPhone, the four tracks on the new EP from Kiara NGL burst with both big feelings and gentle melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 19, 2022
