about
(written by Brian Shea/Dan Shea)
Brian - vocals/guitar. Dan - vocals/keyboards/percussion. Ant – vocals/percussion.
There were originally 4 verses written for this song as each verse was meant to be sang by a different band member but this was another Gary no show night so we just replaced his verse with Dan’s fine garage punk influenced keyboard solo. The Seeds were a huge influence on this track...I felt so alive i feel dead now.
Sounds like Daniel Johnston off his nut on special brew with a portion of chips and gravy. Proper good stuff; angry and funny. Love the lo-fi (or no-fi) aesthetic and fuck off attitude. boycalledcrow
Such a Bordellos record is this. Typically eccentric and recorded and played to their own unique specifications. But, as usual, amongst it the melodies are pretty much all a joy to behold. In a couple of numbers I'm reminded of the quaint off-kilter songs Lou Reed used to write for Mo Tucker to sing in the Velvets. Gavin Hellyer
Recorded on an iPhone, the four tracks on the new EP from Kiara NGL burst with both big feelings and gentle melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 19, 2022
